OMG!
I met the Public Defender last night. He's super cute. We had a 3 hour dinner, followed by a two-hour makeout session in my car (it was like the high school relationship I never had.) Super fun. Highly charged. An all around slam-dunk kinda night.
He's got great, curly brown hair, kind eyes, and the nicest demeanor. He asks questions, and really listens to the answers. In short, he's every bit the unicorn I thought he was...as in, he really is the smart, kind, funny, cute, single guy I thought might exist only in my imagination. The moment I saw him, I thought--I won the lottery! I got set up with my very own TP (total package!) It was like he was wrapped up in fancy paper, tied with a bow and labeled SMART KIND & FUNNY across his front. I. Was. Done.
But the real treat, the surprise of the evening, came when he walked me to my car after dinner. I gave him a piece of cake leftover from my cooking club's labors (more on this later), and he gave me a good, solid smooch on the lips. Which progressed into making out on the corner. Which progressed to making out and wrestling around in my car. And at 1am, a full two hours after we left the restaurant, we were still kissing in my car, windows completely steamed up, and a disgruntled homeless man tottering past us en route to take a leak at a nearby set of dumpsters. It ain't the stuff fairy tales are made of, but take it from me, it was a damn good time.
I actually owe you all two more updates...one on The Professor, and the other on my cooking club and the dinner we made last night, but I'm so tired I can barely type. So I promise, dear friends, more updates are on their way. In the mean time, keep your fingers crossed for me...that the Public Defender is for real, that he'll show me his "legal briefs" soon (hah) and that he won't make like a unicorn and evaporate into thin air. Stay tuned...
